Why isn't my VCUS app working?

Why am I unable to install or update VCUS?


Please refer to the troubleshooting steps in the App Store if you are unable to install our app on iOS.




Why am I unable to save videos?


Thank you for using VCUS. Your edits won’t be saved if any of the following situations occur:
1. The video was edited using VCUS Pro features. You need to join VCUS Pro to save videos edited using paid effects.
2. There is not enough storage space on your device. Please free up some storage space before trying again.
If none of the above apply and the problem persists, try to uninstall and reinstall VCUS. If that doesn't fix the issue, please contact us and we will do our best to solve the problem.




Why are my exported videos blurry?


Thank you for using VCUS. The quality of exported videos depends on the phone model you are using. VCUS supports up to 1080p quality for iPhone 6S and older phone models. If you are using an iPhone 7 or newer phone, you can subscribe to VCUS Pro to enjoy 1080p video export quality.




Can I use VCUS when I'm not connected to the internet?


Thank you for using VCUS. You can continue to use previously used effects but you will be unable to download new effects when you're not connected to the internet. We recommend you always use VCUS with an active internet connection.

How do I subscribe to VCUS Pro?


Subscribe to VCUS Pro to enjoy the best experience on VCUS. You can enter the subscription page by tapping on the Pro icon in the top right corner. Choose the weekly, monthly or yearly subscription plan and then tap on the "7-day free trial" button to become a VCUS Pro member. Please note that we can only offer one 7-day free trial to each user.




How do I cancel my subscription?


We are sorry that VCUS has not been able to provide you with satisfactory service. If you want to cancel your subscription, please use the following steps:
1. Open the Settings app on your device.Tap Account at the top.
2. Tap Subscriptions. (If you don't see "Subscriptions" then tap "iTunes & App Store" instead. Then tap your Apple ID, tap View Apple ID, sign in, scroll down to Subscriptions, and tap Subscriptions.)
3. Tap "Cancel Subscription" under VCUS. If you can’t find the Cancel Subscription button, then the subscription has already been canceled and will not renew.
As all app subscriptions on Apple devices are managed by Apple, we are unable to issue any refunds directly. Please go to reportaproblem.apple.com or call Apple Customer Service to apply for a refund.




How can I avoid being charged after the end of the free trial period?


Please note that you may be charged the subscription fee by Apple anytime within 24 hours prior to the end of your free trial period. With this in mind, if you do not want to subscribe to VCUS Pro, we recommend that you cancel your subscription at least 24 hours prior to the end of the free trial period to avoid any unwanted charges.




If I uninstall the VCUS app, will my VCUS Pro subscription be cancelled?


Please go to iTunes & App Store on your phone to cancel your subscription rather than uninstalling the VCUS app. Uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription.




How do I restore my membership when I reinstall VCUS?


Please go to Setting - Restore Purchases and follow the instructions to restore your membership. You won't be charged again for the subscription.




How can I apply for a refund?


Thank you for using VCUS Pro. The VCUS team is unable to issue any refunds directly. Please contact Apple or Google to apply for a refund.
You can apply for a refund by following these steps:
1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
2. Log in with your Apple ID and password.
3. Choose the item that you want a refund for and click Report or Report a Problem.
4. Follow the instructions on the page to choose the reason why you want a refund and submit your request.
5. If you are still unable to get a refund using the above website, please call Apple's official customer service number and apply for a refund with a customer service agent.

Unfortunately, VCUS is not able to provide you with a refund. You will need to contact Apple if you would like a refund. Apple's refund guidelines and policy




I purchased a VCUS Pro subscription, but I am still unable to use the paid features.


Thank you for using VCUS Pro. If you purchased a Pro subscription but are still unable to use the Pro functions, please check if your payment was declined.
1. Please check if you cancelled the subscription or if the payment failed.
Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
Tap Account at the top.
Tap Subscriptions. (If you don't see "Subscriptions", then tap "iTunes & App Store" instead. Then tap your Apple ID, tap View Apple ID, sign in, scroll down to Subscriptions, and tap Subscriptions.)
Check if there is a VCUS subscription. If so, make sure the subscription has not expired.
2. Please uninstall the app and install again.
3. Open VCUS and tap Restore purchases in Me.
4. If the problem remains unsolved, please go to Me - Feedback and send a detailed description of your issue with screenshots and your contact information. We will get back to you as soon as possible.





Functions

Where can I find the flash function when recording videos?


Thank you for using VCUS. Flash is currently not supported in VCUS. Please record a video with your iPhone system camera using the flash, then import and edit the video with VCUS.




Where can I find my drafts?


Thank you for using VCUS. You can find your previously saved drafts by tapping the Drafts icon in the upper left corner of the homepage.




How do I change filters and transition effects?


Thank you for using VCUS. When recording a music or template video, the Transitions and Filters buttons will appear when your recording is complete. You can tap those buttons to edit the corresponding video effects, and you can even edit text in a template video. We will also be adding that feature to music video editing in the near future.




How do I change the aspect ratio of my video?


Thank you for using VCUS. You can find the 16:9 icon in the top right corner of the recording or editing interface. Tap the icon to switch between 16:9 and 1:1 aspect ratio.




How do I remove the watermark?


Thank you for using VCUS. You need to subscribe to VCUS Pro in order to remove the watermark from videos. After subscribing, go to Settings in the upper left corner and find Watermark settings to disable it.




Can I add photos to a video?


Thank you for using VCUS. Yes, VCUS supports a combination of photos and videos so you can edit and upload any kind of creation you'd like!




How do I export HD quality videos?


Thank you for using VCUS. You must subscribe to our Pro membership to enjoy exporting in HD video quality. We support 1080p video quality for iPhone 7 and newer phones.




How do I create slo-mo videos?


Thank you for using VCUS. Please go to Music and enable the slow motion function in the top right corner to use the effect in your videos. Please note the slow motion effect is not available when recording with the front camera.




Can I import my own music?


Thank you for using VCUS. We're sorry but VCUS doesn't support importing local music at the moment. We will continue making improvements and we plan to provide this function in the future.
